PJ Flowers' full incarnation became reality in late 2006 from the ashes of several Houston iconic bands. PJ Flowers is comprised of experienced players having played numerous festivals, regional and national venues, including opening slots for several rock vets such as, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Blackfoot, Warrant, Pat Travers, Pat Benatar, Suicidal Tendencies, Chainsaw Kittens, and Tripping Daisies, as well as stars on the rise, Blue October, Eric Sardinas, Carolyn Wonderland, Outformation, Pure Rubbish, and many more. PJ received the Best Female Vocalist title in Houston Houston Headline Magazine two consecutive years, as well as five consecutive years nominated in the Houston Press Music Awards, most recently in the 2008 HPMA's. Harry O. was voted Best Guitar Player three years running in the late '90's. Both founding members of PJ Flowers secured small deals with Epic Records and Island Records, respectively, with previous bands. PJ Flowers promises to continue that progress with bigger and better accomplishments via an exemplary work ethic and incredible stamina. Primarily influenced by legends such as, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Heart and other '70's greats, as well as more current bands such as, Concrete Blonde, Letters to Cleo and Buck Cherry, PJ Flowers will spin your head and move your body... but to hear them tell it, "It's only Rock-Roll!"
